Arguably, this particular moment didn't resonate quite as much as WWE would've wanted it to. They would've been better off booking Jacob Fatu's concrete split from Solo Sikoa on an episode of SmackDown rather than during a Money In The Bank ladder match. There wouldn't have been so many distractions had they done things that way. Oh well. It is what it is, and the story can still pulsate.

Jacob stopped Solo from winning the men’s MITB match on Saturday, then screamed: “I hate you, Solo”. After that, Fatu vs. JC Mateo and then eventually Sikoa will be in the pipeline heading through SummerSlam. It's a good story for both, but it's be intriguing to see how WWE handles Solo's emerging abilities as a goofball heel who'd be better suited for something less serious.

He can always flip the switch there, to be fair. A return to more menacing promos and the 'Samoan Spike' badassery of before could well be essential if he's going to be packaged as a threat to Jacob's United States Title. Besides, it's hardly like Mateo can list 'comedy timing' on his own skillset as a performer. The one-time Jeff Cobb is much better when presented as an athletic battering ram with bad intentions.

Fatu's babyface turn, which was a slow burn affair, has been completed in full post-MITB. Truthfully, fans had been rooting for the guy since last year anyway. Now, live crowds have full license to go all in on cheering Jacob's destruction tour. The 'New Bloodline' is officially yesterday's news.
