8 New Directions For WWE After Money In The Bank 2025
3. Seth Rollins Biding His Time
The easiest play going would be to have Seth Rollins use walking brick walls Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to soften up Jey Uso enough so he could win back the World Heavyweight Title. WWE can get some mileage out of Rollins teasing a cash in on John Cena too though. After all, why wouldn’t someone who craves “absolute power” go after the biggest title in the promotion?
Cena holds that, not Uso.
If they play their cards right, Seth and Paul Heyman may well end up with both top belts long term. There shouldn't be any immediate rush to push a Rollins MITB cash in onto television. Don’t forget that WWE has a King Of The Ring tournament coming up later this month, and the winner of that gets a crack at a World Title come SummerSlam. WWE can afford to book Seth as someone crafty who's happy to bide his time and wait for the ultimate opportunity to carve up as much power for himself as possible.
Let's be honest, he's winning either the WWE Title or World Heavyweight Championship again at some point. Breakker and Reed will make sure of it, because they've been cast as wrecking balls for their leader lately. Spears and Tsunamis aplenty have been handed out to any babyfaces foolish enough to stand in the group's way.
This writer predicted that Seth would win MITB then cash in on Jey that same night. In retrospect, it's a positive that WWE plumped for patience instead. They can fill a ton of airtime on those 3 hour episodes of Raw with Rollins and his coming contract cash in talk.
