it is with weary predictability that in 2016, nearly two decades after the McMahon family started to infiltrate WWE stories they are still front and centre of everything. After a lengthy sabbatical from World Wrestling Entertainment, Shane McMahon returned earlier this year to confront his father and sister, which led to Shane taking on The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Control of RAW was on the line, and despite losing that match Shane was still put in charge by his father. It didn't make sense, but as a one-shot deal it could be accepted. Except it wasn't a one-shot deal, and Shane has been in charge ever since. On the final episode of RAW before Payback, Vince vowed to put an end to the leadership saga at Payback, which he did by putting both Shane and Stephanie in charge.

All of which means RAW is going to be dominated by a McMahon power struggle for the foreseeable future. Either that or it leads to...
