Now this would be all sorts of awesome. All of the women listed here could believably hold their own in a wrestling ring with Ronda Rousey, but Asuka feels like someone who would actually be a serious threat to her. Her recent match at NXT TakeOver: Respect made it clear that she's a frightening and vicious presence in the ring, and I honestly could believe that she's one of the only ones here who could get away with beating Rousey in a one on one contest because of how much of a stone cold bad ass she is! Asuka has enough experience that she really shouldn't be kept in NXT for too long (even if the prospect of her taking on Bayley somewhere down the line is easy to get excited over), and a surprise main roster debut to confront Rousey could work really well. The language barrier would obviously make the promos needed to sell this one pretty tough, so what the hell, why not really surprise everyone by making Asuka the first Paul Heyman Girl? Whatever direction the story behind this one might take, there's no denying that this is a match with the potential to really blow the roof off the arena next April. There's a certain appeal to Rousey coming in and dominating whoever she faces - that seems likely too, especially as she'll no doubt want to avoid an injury which has an impact on her UFC career - but a competitive back and fore contest where she's almost the underdog coming into the world of WWE could actually end up working a whole lot better and Asuka would be an ideal candidate as a result.
