8 Pointless WWE Title Changes
7. Neville > Akira Tozawa
You could argue that Neville unexpectedly dropping the title to Akira Tozawa in the week leading up to SummerSlam helped fortify 'The Man That Gravity Forgot's intense, brooding persona.
He is now not only a man who can methodically break down his opponents, but one who can also recover from setbacks, utterly unshakable in his all-consuming desire to wear WWE gold around his waist.
That would make a modicum of sense, although ending his unbeaten run in such a low-key manner was perhaps too lopsided a trade-off for such a minor character tweak.
Anyway, none of that really matters since - if reports can be believed - the decision to have Tozawa take the belt for six days was a last minute one, made simply because Vince McMahon fancied giving the fans a title change on Raw.
