8 Pointless WWE Title Changes
4. John Cena > Randy Orton
John Cena and Randy Orton is probably the most-used match combination in recent WWE history, so there were bound to be one or two title changes somewhere along the way.
In late-2009, Cena beat Orton for the WWE Championship at Breaking Point, Orton beat Cena at Hell in a Cell, and then finally Cena beat Orton at Bragging Rights (it wasn't a great year for pay-per-view names, either, really).
You could argue that tying the series at 1-1 necessitated the final, blow-off Iron Man match, but that same scoreline could have been achieved had Orton won the opener, with Cena - who the company wanted as champion heading into TLC - taking the title in the second.
It's little wonder that the pair of them were already into double figure title reigns by their mid-30s.
