8 Reasons WWE Must Sign Kenny Omega
2. A Match With AJ Styles
When Kenny Omega returned to New Japan in late 2014, he immediately aligned himself with Bullet Club - meaning that he and AJ Styles were on the same team. They got along well, with Styles as the group's heavyweight ace and Omega as the dominant Junior Heavyweight Champion.
That changed when Omega turned on Styles and usurped leadership of the group from "The Phenomenal One," but there was never a real blow-off - Styles left New Japan for WWE after his ouster, while Omega became the top foreign star in the company. Though Styles has certainly had a great year in WWE, many fans have been left daydreaming about what a match with Omega would look like.
Will we ever know? Only if Omega decides to join WWE, in all likelihood. One thing's for sure, though - with two in-ring performers of that caliber, the bar will indeed be very, very high.
