8 Reasons WWE Survivor Series Was The Worst Show Of 2015
2. An Ending No One Wanted
With the exception of Sheamus and Becky Lynch, there is probably no one on Earth who wanted The Celtic Warrior to leave Survivor Series - or any other WWE show - as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. When he returned from his injury with a new look and attitude as a heel, it was a much-needed freshening up for a guy who had grown stale. unfortunately for him, a few months later we're right back in that same territory. WWE is currently dealing with record low ratings, and it's mind-boggling to think that they sat around and decided Sheamus as champion was an effective way to combat that. He's not over at all, and the reaction of the Atlanta crowd when he walked out with the title is indicative of the feelings of fans the world over. Spend five minuted scrolling through Twitter and you'll learn all you need to know about what a letdown this was. If the idea is to reverse the negative sentiment toward Reigns by putting the belt on someone the fans dislike more than him, I'm afraid this is going to backfire. This isn't Randy Orton cashing-in on Daniel Bryan. Roman doesn't have that kind of goodwill with the fans, and we don't view him as an underdog no matter how badly WWE wants us to. That's not the way to book Roman Reigns. Think more Goldberg/Ultimate Warrior and less Daniel Bryan/Shawn Michaels and you'll be on the right track.
