8 Things We Learned From Cody Rhodes On Stephanie McMahon's WWE Show
2. He Wants To Rerecord His Entrance Track

Punch the words, "Cody Rhodes WWE entrance song" into Google and you'll likely be met with TikToks of people singing along to it. It's one of the most memorable tunes in wrestling history, is one of the best non-Jim Johnston produced songs, and it always gets a monster pop live. Before Downstait's modern rock banger kicks in, Cody can be heard whispering: "Wrestling has more than one royal family".
That's something Stephanie had to bring up on the show. She knows it was a not-so-subtle stab at her own family, which Cody sort of acknowledged here. He remembered recording the line shortly after leaving WWE in 2016, and he thinks there's something funny about the fact they still use that same sample today. Maybe not for long.
Time for a scoop.
Cody revealed that he eventually wants his young daughter to rerecord the line for his entrance. Why? Well, he desperately wants her to “have a good experience” with the industry and look on it with the same sentimentality he does. Stephanie's heart melted at this stage, 'cause she's certainly somebody who understands the importance of serving the next generation.
Don't be too shocked if Rhodes does have his little girl say the, "Wrestling has more than one royal family" lyric eventually. He says he'll wait until she's a bit older for that, but he does reckon it'd be a nice way to let her make an imprint on the biz. Then, that'll always be something she can look back on. She'd have played a part in her father's legacy, just like Cody did with Dusty.
