3. Bayley Loses To A Kick

The Women's Championship triple threat match was fine, although after the bout that stole WrestleMania 32, multi-woman bouts for the belt featuring NXT alumni feel a little tired. Charlotte retained the strap by defeating Bayley and Sasha Banks, continuing her remarkable record in WWE main roster PPV matches (she is yet to lose when performing on her own).

Charlotte pinned Bayley for the win here, doing so after a standing side kick. Yep, that was it. I have no real problem with Bayley taking the fall, she's another from the Zayn/Ambrose school after all, but losing to a simple kick? This doesn't make sense. I can't imagine a conversation backstage that ended with the agent stating 'and then Charlotte wins with a sidekick' and everyone subsequently nodding in agreement.

Bayley's first month on the main roster has been a failure. It is almost as if those writing RAW feel that all the work was done on NXT, and there's frankly no need to do any more character work with Bayley. This leaves the main roster audience a little confused as to why they should really be getting behind the former NXT Women's Champion.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
