8 Times AEW Legitimately Changed The World

2. Maxwell Jacob Friedman

AEW Dynamite MJF
AEW

Telling it exactly how it is, Maxwell Jacob Friedman is the envy of every other wrestling company on earth.

Compelling when he speaks (both in promos and interviews) and exuding a star appeal that you just can't manufacture, he hits a level of prolific consistency that makes his segments can't-miss television on a weekly basis. The existence of MJF remains one of the biggest arguments for AEW's validity up to this point.

Why? Because not one company since WCW folded has managed to make a wrestler feel like as big of a deal as him. TNA had enormous talent like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe, but they never put themselves on the radar like MJF has during AEW's tenure. Through great storylines, effective matches and building a character that draws from the past while having its own distinct flavour, Max is the biggest star in wrestling outside of WWE's walls.

They'd never admit it publicly, but WWE would move mountains to sign MJF if they could. AEW has many stars who can captivate an audience and who have led the resurgence to make the company as hot as it has ever been, but there's only one Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
