8 Times AEW Legitimately Changed The World
1. Cole & Danielson Rock All Out 2021
During Kenny Omega's reign of terror as AEW World Champion, 'The God Of Professional Wrestling' felt untouchable. Wrestling at his peak, backed by The Young Bucks and with wrestling Svengali Don Callis pulling the strings, Omega was justifying everything you'd ever read about his abilities on weekly television and on PPV.
After a sterling victory over Christian Cage, Omega was letting everyone at home and in attendance know that he was the king of All Elite Wrestling and there wasn't a damn thing anyone could do about it. Entering to a pop that could be heard from outer space, Adam Cole debuted in AEW. Coming off one of the best NXT runs in company history, it signified that Cole was willing to give up WWE's main roster to join AEW, and fans everywhere lapped that up.
As he entered the ring, Cole promptly turned heel and joined The Elite, only making Omega's grip on the company seem even more iron-clad.
When the familiar music of Bryan Danielson hit shortly afterwards, and he emerged for the night's second debut, the whole landscape of wrestling felt like it had moved for the first time since WCW's 83-week winning streak. CM Punk had debuted, NXT's hottest name had jumped ship and Bryan Danielson had arrived. This all happening on one night is something that will go down in wrestling folklore forever.
