8 Times John Cena Actually Did Suck

1. Worst...Promo...Ever?!?! - Raw, January 21, 2013

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOpf_V2RFRA On January 21, 2013, John Cena delivered a promo so awful that some consider it the worst ever. To put things in perspective, ever is a long, long time. Still, on that fateful night, just days before the Royal Rumble match that he would ultimately go on to win, Cena cut a promo so truly and spectacularly bad that it still reeks of sucktitude well over a year later. Rambling and ranting about the contest, he managed to incorporate Call of Duty, skid marks, Taylor Swift, hangovers and blowup dolls into his promo. This was all, apparently, his way of hyping up the Rumble match. It took him what seemed like and eternity to get to his point and worst of all, was incoherent in doing so. So bad was the promo that, for one of the first times in his stint as a main event attraction, Cena actually got heat backstage. Whether he was allowed artistic freedom on that night and simply failed, or someone was actually paid to write the drivel that came from Cena's mouth, it does not change the content or the fact that it was so incredibly terrible. Did the heat he incurred or the critical bashing he took following the segment result in any sort of punishment or reprimand? Did he lose his spot on the card? Of course not.
