8 Times The McMahons Took Unnecessarily Stupid Risks

1. Shane's Leap Of Unsafe

'The Prodigal Stuntman's most verifiably senseless tumble is something of a megamix medley of all the previous McMahon madness. It has the dizzying height of the Backlash legdrop, the unpredictable backwardness of Vince's Valentine's Day bump, and the extreme idiocy of the Hell in a Cell plunge. This was utterly, utterly bonkers.

Sure, SummerSlam is a big event, but was the Hardcore title worth this? Quite aside from the mammoth risk Shane took on the fall itself, everyone's favourite kendo-carrier Steve Blackman was just as prone, and either man could have misplaced their footing ascending the scaffold. There was absolutely no need for this crazy caper, though to be fair, we are still talking about it 16 years later.

And it it looked good.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
