8 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts (29 Jun)

Ups...

8. TNT Title Redemption?

Scorpio Sky Wardlow
AEW

A brief backstage segment hosted by Tony Schiavone saw Scorpio Sky put TNT Title contender Wardlow down, saying that he wasn't one of the security guards the big man had spent the last few months destroying, then pointing out that last them they met, Wardlow was felled. 'The War Dog' responding that he would treat any American Top Team members who showed up like those security guards got Sky fired up, prompting him to suggest a Street Fight - which seems unwise for his physical wellbeing.

As goofy (and fun, in this columnist's eyes) as Wardlow squashing 20 guards the other week was, him battering a few ATT fighters before conducting his Symphony on Sky could be a lot of fun. The stipulation admittedly opens the match up to overbooking, given interferences will be legal, though a one-sided, roughhoused shellacking of several trained killers, including Sky, would be a great way to set Wardlow up for a dominant TNT Title run.

The belt needs it. After several wobbly months following Sammy Guevara's win over Miro, a long run of Wardlow looking like the baddest man in the company by scoring dominant, decisive wins (how he got over in the first place) is the way to go.
