8 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Aug 4)
6. You Don't Beat The North
Seeing as they reigned as the World Tag Team Champions for 380 days, it was always going to be interesting to see what came next for Ethan Page and Josh Alexander. The North have had incredibly different reactions to losing the straps, with Alexander seemingly being calm and collected, whereas Page is going slightly maniacal. Keep in mind that last week, 'All Ego' couldn't even get his words out, and now he's insisting that no-one could ever defeat the Canadian duo when they're at 100%.
The former champs interrupted new champions The Motor City Machine Guns during their sitdown interview with Jimmy Jacobs, where Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley talked about still having chemistry between them, despite not teaming together in an Impact ring since 2012. Cue an appearance from Ethan and Josh, who decided to take their obligatory championship rematch against The Guns at Impact's next special titled Emergence.
There wasn't anything too exciting about this, aside from the continued derailment of Ethan Page. Seeing as the only Impact persona we've known for Page thus far is that of a cocky showoff, this new character for him could be excellent, but only if it's executed correctly. Regardless of what occurs at Emergence, 'All Ego' needs to become more delirious in his actions. Go all in on this, or just don't bother.
