Look, this 80s baby loves a legendary cameo as much as the next nostalgia-hungry fan, but it was notable that WWE kept the old-school minimal on Saturday. They didn't burn through loads of Rumble entries by ringing up names from the past like Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, Molly Holly, The Hurricane or folks like that.

The women's match put a keen focus on an emerging generation. For every worker that blatantly wasn't over (see the 'Downs' for more moaning about that), there was a palpable excitement surrounding everyone from Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton to Roxanne Perez and even TNA's Jordynne Grace.

Andrade's comeback in the men's bout worked a treat too, but he's hardly coming in to be a main eventer. It remains to be seen whether or not Triple H will even book him better than Tony Khan did. Being brutally honest about it, that won't be a challenging task, but he'll be midcard for now.

The lack of Hogan, McCool etc was appreciated.
