8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (16 Mar)

4. Wheeler Yuta Gets Battered (But Stays Standing)

Another week, another starchy violence party from Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson, whose latest tag team victory perhaps ran a little long, but delivered on ugly thrills nonetheless.

Wheeler Yuta spent much of the early stages getting chopped to pieces, building to the Chuck Taylor tag. An underrated brawler and bruiser himself, the former DUSTIN entered a strong performance as he stood up to William Regal's charges, fighting his young partner's corner.

But this match wasn't about Chuckie T. This was about Moxley, Regal, Danielson, and Yuta. A late display of fighting spirit saw Yuta bit down on his mouthpiece and tough it out, daring Danielson to go to town on his chest with stiff kicks, firing up in the process. Willing the crowd behind him and coming off hard as hell in the process, Yuta's defeat was a valiant one.

Bailing on Best Friends for the right to be smacked in the mouth by Regal after the bell, Yuta edged towards breaking out here. While Daniel Garcia has chosen the sports entertainer's path, Yuta wants Regal's crew to sculpt him into a wrestling machine with chops, elbows, and stretches.

Earnestly great stuff.
