8 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (2 Sep)
1. High Times
The alignment of Moose and W. Morrissey should either be a short-term or an, in the long-term, part-time deal, as there's far more that could be done with both as singles guys, particularly in Morrissey's case. He's still classed as a newcomer; debuting at Rebellion in April hasn't allowed for too much, you see.
Nonetheless, their union here was delightful. They appeared to reach a deal during a backstage segment, with Moose being the one to lay the details on the table. If he finds a moment to turn on the former Big Cass, he will. They're not friends, but merely allies. It makes sense, given their individual mantras.
The 'Wrestling God' went on to mention how no one should be a hero in modern wrestling, which caught the ire of Eddie Edwards. A kendo stick attack ensued, with Morrissey making the save, ultimately leaving Eddie laying via assisted Powerbomb.
Every aspect of this was well-executed. Eddie had to make use of Kenny the kendo stick because he straight-up told Sami Callihan to never help him again. It's too soon for him to help Eddie again, regardless of the situation. Save that for a later date, and instead enjoy the sight of Moose and Morrissey as a unit. Big beefy boys indeed.
