6. Raging Rich

Rich Swann interrupting the Good Brothers' bragging promo, aided by a steel chair, was a good follow-up to last week's show-closing segment. There, of course, Willie Mack was Powerbombed through a table by Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson.

A week later, the tag champions were gloating about their move. Because Mack is now in a hospital, Swann and Mack can't possibly be next in line for their titles. It's smart of them to actually acknowledge the trope that scoring a non-title win guarantees a future title showdown because that's inevitably the direction IMPACT will lead this in anyway. When Rich came out with a chair, it was reminiscent of the Swann we saw last fall during the Eric Young storyline; the best version of Rich Swann, arguably.

As a result, the feud is immediately raised up a notch, becoming a far more important factor in the weekly shows than it perhaps would have been without this. The segment worked, though not quite as effective as last week's. That aside, the tag title scene is now worthwhile again.
