8 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 15)
2. Kiera Steelz A Win
Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz needed to be in the finals of the Knockouts Tag Team Championships Tournament. When the speculation began surrounding bringing the titles out of retirement, they were one of the few teams already established in Impact at the time, and have since become one of the favourites to win the whole thing. Their semi-finals victory over Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary only solidifies that fact even more.
'The Hottest Flame' and 'The Borica Badass' dominated here, keeping Rosemary at bay in their corner. They've really come into their own as a cohesive unit, which was a welcomed gift after Kiera's on-off friendship with Madison Rayne. 'The Demon Assassin' only mounted excruciatingly small doses of offence, which made it all that better when she finally made the tag to Taya Valkyrie - only after Spearing Steelz halfway across the ring, mind.
This is where things became interesting, though. Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee entered to take out Rosemary at ringside, leaving Taya prone to a Superkick and Fisherman's Neckbreaker from Hogan that ensured Kiera and Tasha advanced to the finals of the tournament on January 16. There, they'll meet either Havok and Nevaeh, or Jordynne Grace and Jazz.
All in all, this couldn't have gone better. Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz are now one win away from where they rightfully should be, while the story continues bubbling away that is surely going to lead to Taya challenging for Deonna's Knockouts Championship at Hard To Kill. A minor Down for Rosemary being knocked out from a Flatliner on the ramp, considering she's went through far worse in her Impact tenure. Aside from that, though, a perfect situation is brewing in the knockouts division.
