8 Ups & 5 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling Hardcore Justice 2021

6. Sami Beale Throws Sam

Sami Callihan issuing an open challenge that was answered by Sam Beale, a trainee of Trey Miguel, was an excellent way to further the rivalry between Sami and Trey.

It was in no way the best match of the night, but what it was, though, was a guy looking to make a name for herself. Beale had previously lost to Miguel in under a minute, however, this was different. He came close to pinning ‘The Draw’ on more than one occasion. It was essentially his only offence in the open challenge, but it told enough of a story.

What Callihan needed was to decimate someone here. His barrage against Beale was required; the exploder suplex on the venue’s floor was a tad too far. The thud of Sam’s back sent shivers down your writer’s back. A solid package piledriver got the win for the former World Champion.

IMPACT needs more of this sort of thing, bringing in lesser-known indie talents to give them a match or two. They did it with Ember Moon’s husband Matthew Palmer against Moose earlier this year, and former NXT star Rachael Ellering is reported to have worked the recent IMPACT tapings. Here’s hoping Sam Beale is only the next in a long list.
