8 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 29)
3. #HeathIsImpact
Hard work does indeed pay off.
After a solid two months of pestering Impact management, Heath finally has a match on an Impact show. Technically speaking, it's his second bout for the company, following his unsuccessful challenge against Moose for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, but it appears we aren't mentioning that anymore.
'The Hottest Free Agent' was boasting to Rhino outside the Impact Zone about still being in possession of the money stolen from Hernandez, only for the inaugural SmackDown Tag Team Champions to be jumped by Reno Scum, who are apparently now the henchmen for 'Supermex'. Seething at the assault, 'The War Machine' went straight to Scott D'Amore, who gave in by allowing Heath to wrestle a non-sanctioned bout at Victory Road.
It's worth noting that Heath hasn't actually been signed to a contract in storyline, but rather signing a waiver that says anything that may occur on Saturday evening won't be, in any way, the fault of Impact Wrestling. Still, it's closer than nothing.
