8 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (June 28)

2. Meaningless Alliance

Following on from last week's offer, Taya Valkyrie once again promised Rosemary a future match for the Knockouts Championship as long as the 'Demon Assassin' protected her from Su Yung and Jessicka Havok. So, Taya wants protecting from two real threats to her title, only to then be offering a title opportunity to another huge threat to her gold?

In a way, it would make sense for Valkyrie to want someone else to protect her from Yung and Havok. After all, those two are unstoppable on their own, let alone when they're aligned together thanks to Father James Mitchell. However, for the bulk of this story, it just seems like a foolish decision on Taya's part. Rosemary wants that title more than anything right now, something that the champ is aware of - so why would she want to offer her a match as long as she can complete one fairly simple task?

Needless to say, Taya's cowardice is becoming more tedious to sit through as the weeks go by. With Slammiversary just around the corner and her title on the line in a huge Monster's Ball, perhaps we'll be seeing the end of her as the coward champion.
