This might be a minor gripe, but this is the sort of thing that makes announcers look like idiots.

Angelo Dawkins squared off against Murphy in a singles bout between half of Thursday’s Raw Tag Team Championship bout. Just moments into the match, Seth Rollins interfered, causing a DQ, and then the heels walked off. Montez Ford got on the mic and egged Rollins on until he returned to the ring to confront him, triggering a second one-on-one match.

The announcers acted like Rollins was goaded because Ford challenged him, acting surprised that we were going to see this match… except the Ford/Rollins match was announced when Raw opened and was plugged a couple times during the show. It was a scheduled match. There was no goading to be done. Montez was in the ring, ring the bell and count Seth out.

But no, the announcers have to act like goofs ignoring what they’ve been shilling for two-plus hours and act surprised. Minor, but it’s so simple to avoid that it deserves a “down” here.
