If you can’t see the turn coming a mile away, then you have no business being a wrestling fan.

The announcers spent a couple minutes talking up a years-long relationship between Ronda Rousey and Natalya before and during Nattie’s match against Mickie James, establishing that this wasn’t some recently crafted friendship. That of course just sets things up for Nattie to eventually turn on Rousey when the time comes. It might not come for months, but it’s there.

As for Monday, Ronda did her part, nullifying Alexa Bliss’ interference and even helping provide and inadvertent distraction that allowed Nattie to roll up Mickie for the win. Simple, but effective.
