The ongoing slow face turn for Seth Rollins is actually progressing really well when you consider that WWE has two years of slimy, smarmy villain to undo. Rollins was wronged by Triple H, but that alone won’t be enough to make the full turn.

Enter Kevin Owens. Rollins already showed earlier that he was adopting a calmer, less abrasive promo style with Mick Foley, and contrasting that with Owens’ cocky humor really worked well. KO pointed out that Rollins has made a career out of others doing the dirty work for him, but then went a step further by saying that Seth was wounded by Triple H taking a keen interest in Owens instead and ditching him. KO’s “Redesign, Rebuild, Replaced” line also was solid.

All of that helped fans see a slightly different side of Rollins, one that could get openly cheered in the coming weeks, especially at Clash of Champions.
