8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 28)

Ups…

8. This Leads To A Feud, Right?

Whenever WWE previews a movie with a superstar appearing in it, it’s a mixed bag of whether it’s done smartly or is just plain clunky and godawful. Monday, we saw a clip from the latest direct-to-DVD film from WWE, featuring Mark Henry as a bodyguard getting beat up in a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it appearance. When it came back to the interview, Titus O’Neil railed at Henry that the World’s Strongest Man stole a role destined for him. He said the role was supposed to help launch the woeful Titus Brand.

Henry simply shoved Titus down for grabbing him, and that was that. Or was it? Believe it or not, this actually wasn’t badly done as a means for starting a small feud. A pointless clip of Henry’s cameo in a movie gets turned into a rivalry between Mark and Titus, leading to Titus finally doing something other than being a background joke. It’s right there.

Eh, maybe we’re being a little too optimistic here.
