8 Ups and 7 Downs From WWE Raw (June 27)

4. Wave To The Social Outcasts

Since debuting on the main roster, Enzo Amore and Big Cass have been on a roll. Their tenure has been one step forward after another. So it was surprising when they sputtered on Monday night.

Enzo’s pre-match promo fell flat, as he said they were riding a wave of popularity from the fans, then asked the crowd to do the wave for their match against two jobbers. Asking the fans to do something like that just felt a little too pandering, plus the Wave sucks. Sorry, it does.

But then, the Social Outcasts returned to action (they also were on the set of The Marine 47) and talked about how H-A-R-D they were (to counter Big Cass’ SAWFT). This of course merely led to Heath Slater getting booted off the apron and the rest of the Outcasts deciding not to get into the ring.

That exchange, along with requesting a Wave, felt like it wasn’t Enzo and Cass’ best efforts. They certainly didn’t stink up the joint, but they didn’t wow the crowd either.
