8 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 11)

1. Raging Against The Machine

Give WWE writers credit for giving Brock Lesnar a plausible reason to destroy a ring full of wrestlers (other than observing that he€™s the Beast and that€™s what he does). Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman thought that Brock should not have to compete in the Royal Rumble match, and should instead be inserted into the main event of WrestleMania to face the winner of the Rumble. But Vince and Stephanie McMahon disagreed, insisting that he fight for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Rumble first, and if he wins, he could main event Mania. That piece of news was enough to set Brock off, and he proceeded to destroy seven men at the close of Raw, including champ Roman Reigns. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKiLU7qCCZE The message was clear: Lesnar is not happy that he has to wrestle at the Royal Rumble and hasn€™t been given a main event slot at WrestleMania, so he€™ll just decimate everyone in his path until then. That€™s a pretty damn great, simple motivation that works well for Brock. And it€™ll be fun to watch him throw people around in the Rumble.
