8 Ways WWE Has Already F**ked Up The Divas Revolution
2. The Bellas
While there's no denying that Nikki Bella can put on a good match with the right opponent, both she and Brie (who is nowhere near as good in the ring) being such a big part of the Divas Revolution is a major mistake. It's easy to understand why the WWE wouldn't just dump the twins who have become such a big part of the company - and particularly the popular Total Divas reality TV series - but having them constantly credited for starting the Divas Revolution when they've been what's wrong with women's wrestling on WWE programming for the past few years is infuriating. Improvement in the ring aside, neither Nikki nor Brie are really that great, and it's showing up now more than ever. They just don't know how to tell a good story in the ring the same way as Charlotte or Sasha. The duo still go for pinfall attempts after the most basic of moves and wrestle the same way they did during the old two or three minute filler matches. They've done nothing to improve themselves or take advantage of the extra TV time they've been given, and their mic work is as awful as ever, especially as they're still switching between heel and face status on a weekly basis. The way they've been booked in matches is another head scratcher. Charlotte ending Nikki's title run would have been a huge moment; instead, she spent ten minutes in a rematch being picked apart by the champ, only to pull a submission out of nowhere and win in what felt an awful lot like a fluke victory. Brie still essentially being Nikki's sidekick is certainly doing her no favours, and the fact that they're given so much more exposure than the newcomers to the main roster is enough to make you wish those rumours about the NXT women's division just replacing everyone on Raw were true.
