8 Wrestlers Who Had A Blood Feud With Shawn Michaels

Does it not seem strange to anyone that despite The Rock and Shawn Michaels being two of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling that the pair never actually squared off against each other in a one on one match?

I mean sure, Michaels was on his hiatus during the period when Rock solidified himself as the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, but both before and after that time there were a number of occasions that the two had both been active competitors.

Dave Meltzer even recently stated that there were plans for the pair to compete upon Shawn's return in 2002, but they were reportedly nixed by Rock, who did not want to work with HBK.

Just where this feud originates isn't exactly clear, but there are several prevalent theories. One states that Michaels had disrespected Rock's grandmother, Hawaiian wrestling promoter Lia Maivia, before Dwayne had made his way into the business. Another alleges that Rock was just another of the rising stars whos career Shawn had sabotaged during the 1990s.

Regardless of what happened, the pair appeared to have resolved their differences when they were seen talking amicably backstage at WrestleMania 32.
