8 Wrestlers Who Left WWE & Got JACKED

Some ex-WWE stars went from cancelled or released straight to the gym.

WWE has regularly been known as 'The Land Of The Giants'. Since the heady days of Vince McMahon all too often liking only the meatiest of meaty men to be part of his main event scene, there's been something of an unwritten rule that the world's biggest wrestling company likes its superstars to come supersized.

However, not everyone who signs on the dotted line for WWE heeds this warning. There are some wrestlers who wait until after they leave to increase their muscle mass and get beefier than your local Five Guys - even if they don't look like they have it in them all the way through their time under contract. Maybe it's a more relaxed schedule that enables more gym time, or maybe it's to do with being able to set their own diets and supplement plans.

Whatever the individual reasons, this set of superstars traded in their pitiful pecs for a look that more closely resembled The Incredible Hulk. No, not that one! This is a glance at a whole bunch of superstars who left the biggest wrestling promotion on the block and got absolutely jacked.

8. The Rock

His inclusion in this list isn't to imply that 'The People's Champ' has ever been out of shape in any way. The Rock's physical prowess has always been in peak condition, from his days in the Nation Of Domination all the way to his prime years as the number one attraction in the WWE. Even with this caveat, there's no denying that since he went to Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson has evolved into a hulked-up mass of a man.

The Rock's most recent actual run as WWE's 'Final Boss' saw him embody that nickname. Beefier than ever before, Rocky looked more physically imposing than he had in the past during his run leading up to WrestleMania 40. It added a certain level of violence and menace to his increasingly evil actions, the highlight of which came when annihilating Cody Rhodes in the rain outside company production trucks.

This drastic change of body type worked, as it meant that he didn't ever feel like a relic of the past when in a program with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and the 'American Nightmare'. When Rock earned the pin to set up the 'Bloodline Rules' match between his cousin and Cody on 'Mania 40's second night, that made perfect sense.

Man was built like a proverbial brick s***house.
