8 Wrestlers Who Should Compete In A NXT Title Tournament

5. Ricochet

Ricochet has been leaving fans slack-jawed with his flashy dives and unbelievably smooth 630 finish on episodes of Raw and SmackDown recently. In just a few weeks, he's gone from NXT hopeful to main roster favourite, and that was never a given. Still, Ciampa's injury means he's needed back 'home'.

Ricochet has formed a tag-team with Aleister Black over the past few weeks, and that has extended to NXT's Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic as well as the main roster. This is little more than an introductory point for Rico though; he's still a singles star at heart, and he should be allowed to light up the early rounds of the tournament.

There's no pressure either.

If he falls at the first hurdle, so what? There's no shame in losing to someone like Matt Riddle or Roderick Strong, especially when he's then going to excel on Monday and Tuesday nights anyway.
