8 Wrestlers WWE Pushed In The WORST Way Possible
4. EC3
Not everyone excels in every area of wrestling. The job of a creative team is to accentuate the positives of a superstar's arsenal, making him appear more than the sum of his parts. This is the exact opposite of what WWE did with EC3 when the two-time TNA World Champion and one of the most beloved wrestlers of that company's era hit their main roster.
The concept was that EC3 was more suited to WWE's flagship shows than NXT. This felt like savvy thinking, as the black-and-gold era of NXT was about in-ring excellence, and EC3 excelled with a mic in his hands. He was charismatic and knew how to make fans feel their emotions, with a solid grasp of being an adored babyface or a despised heel.
There is absolutely nothing about this man that lent itself to being a mute, and yet that was the character he was given when appearing on the main roster in 2019. He would flex in front of mirrors, not saying a word. This nonsensical booking stripped EC3 of everything that made him stand out, making him dead in the water on WWE programming. He lasted less than a year before leaving the company for good.
