8 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Were World Champions

2. La Parka

Most will think of La Parka as somewhat of a joke, being a Mexican wrestler who used mostly to comedic effect in WCW's mid-card, even though his status was mostly as a jobber, he still managed to get over with fans due to his bizarre personality and misdemeanor. Of all the Asistencia Asesoría y Administración performers that worked in WCW, he's undoubtedly one of the most talented and most memorable, perhaps behind Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis and Rey Mysterio. Most will be unaware of the fact that La Parka is regarded as a wrestling legend and in Mexico, and is even a former world champion. Before Asistencia Asesoría y Administración had its own branded world championship, it had the IWC (International Wrestling Council) World Heavyweight Championship. La Parka would hold the title for an impressive 399 days in 1998, before the title was rebranded in favor of Pirata Morgan's IWRG Intercontiental Heavyweight Championship. In many ways, La Parka was the last true IWC World Heavyweight Champion - an impressive feat as it was AAA's top belt at the time and arguably the most prestigious wrestling championship in Mexico in the 90's.
