Remember in 2006 when the Spirit Squad burst onto the scene? Remember how you thought they were the lamest and most insufferable stable you'd ever witnessed in big time professional wrestling?

Well, you were almost right but that distinction actually belongs to pseudo boy band 3 Count. 3 Count were made up of Shane Helms, Shannon Moore and Evan Karagias, who were put together by Jimmy Hart in order to capitalise on the popularity/make fun of boy bands like The Backstreet Boys.

It was actually a cute idea, in theory, since boy bands were ripe for parody. But the joke outstayed its welcome and it was clear that WCW management didn't have much else in store for the threesome creatively besides a 'Best of 1000 series' with the Jung Dragons.

Oh, and a feud with the totally hopeless Tank Abbott. The former UFC fighter felt he should have been the lead 'singer' (more like lip-syncer) of the group. Indeed, as part of their act, Helms, Moore and Karagias would mime the words to their 'hits' and perform choreographed, ultra-cheesy dances. I could make a joke about their matches here, but I'm bigger than that...

The team lasted about as long as One True Voice before splitting up and going their separate ways.
