8 WWE Booking Steps For Sami Zayn's Heel Run
1. A Prolonged Separation
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will be split in the aftermath. The duo shouldn't be anywhere near each other after such an eventful six month period, and while they'll inevitably cross paths many more times throughout their careers, a break would benefit both.
The easiest way to do this is by sending Owens to Raw, giving Zayn the freedom to prosper on the blue brand. He'd have all the momentum in the world, and after being booked like a doormat for so long prior to his heel turn, the past half-year should bring something new to his work. Sami will be as resilient and sympathetic as ever, but he'll work with a new edge, and will no longer be presented as WWE's lovable loser.
The possibilities are endless from this point on. WWE have never booked Zayn like a big deal, but this would be the perfect opportunity to do so by finally cementing him as a main eventer. A WWE Championship run should be on the horizon (particularly if, god forbid, Jinder Mahal still holds the belt), and with Owens stuck on Monday nights, Sami will finally have a chance to flourish.
Until the next time they meet, of course...
