8 WWE Fastlane 2021 Impulse Reactions

7. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) Vs. Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair

It was creatively pathetic from WWE to book two teams that simultaneously couldn't get along to have a match centred around their interpersonal issues more than the Women's Tag Team Championships. As it was when the match itself started with cameras drawing attention to this.

And as it was at the end, when one of the company's elite performers and potential WrestleMania main eventer Sasha Banks was foiled by a f*cking roll-up.

A pedestrian match came to life a little when Bianca Belair rattled off her awesome 450 splash, but we didn't even get the two seconds of that near fall to enjoy it. With the match looking won, Banks again found herself distracted by Reginald.

This resulted in further miscommunication between the Challengers - Banks b*llocked Belair for getting in the way, basically - until the aforementioned finish put the fatal wedge between the WrestleMania opponents and left the Champions looking like idiots celebrating a fluke.

More was broken than fixed here - the match didn't leave an impression but the p*ss poor booking did. WWE have but 20 days to fix this.
