8 WWE Payback 2016 Results Predictions

Finally, a babyface gets a win, but it won't be completely satisfying. It's great to see WWE finally use Cesaro in a prominent way, playing off of his understated charisma with the James Bond-meets-Hercules bit of debonair he gets to carry. The Miz is an ideal foil for him, with his unapologetic bombast, and it would be thrilling to see Cesaro spin him right out of his Intercontinental title reign. It just won't happen at Payback.

This will be one of those matches that gets re-gifted for Extreme Rules, so you can expect Maryse to cause the disqualification just as Cesaro goes in for the kill. Naturally, Chicago will be pretty pissed off, but eh, that's long-term booking for you. It's too early for Cesaro to take a pin, and it's probably too early to switch the belt. A grudging compromise would suffice.
