8 WWE Superstars With Untapped Heel Potential
7. Luke Harper
Harper might be the most underused wrestler on the roster today.
He was off WWE television for three months before appearing in a vignette on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, repackaged as one of The Bludgeon Brothers alongside Erick Rowan.
We have seen glimpses of his singles potential, most recently as a babyface when he was floating around the WWE Championship picture ahead of WrestleMania, but also as a heel when he won the Intercontinental title and was part of Team Authority in 2014.
Powerful, athletic and distinct in appearance, Harper is one of the most entertaining big men in the company. While teaming him with Rowan is a good way to get him back in the immediate spotlight, he should not be chained to his Wyatt Family alumni forever.
If WWE are sensible with his repacking, and don’t lay the gimmick on too thick, Harper’s in-ring talent will speak for itself. He could emerge as a mid-card monster when the team splits.
