8 WWE Superstars With Untapped Heel Potential

5. Xavier Woods

Xavier Woods has natural charisma in abundance. That much is evident from watching him on WWE Network programming, on his YouTube gaming channel Up Up Down Down, and, of course, as one third of The New Day.

At the moment, his powers are being used for positivity. The New Day are the most popular tag team of the last decade, and are one of WWE’s biggest movers of merchandise thanks to an army of fans from all ages and backgrounds.

But Woods could easily use his charisma to become an effective heel. Whichever member eventually breaks rank from The New Day is going to be instantly disliked, and Woods is the best of the three equipped for this role.

He has many traits which are traditionally associated with heels. He is intelligent (he has a PHD in educational psychology from Capella University), he is arrogant, and he uses a musical instrument as part of his act (Francesca II is a sweetheart but could but incredibly annoying in a different capacity).

Woods would be able to hang as a mid-card heel, but might be more productive in the Cruiserweight division, where he would have the Enzo Amore impact of making 205 Live relevant - noly without jeopardising the show’s in-ring credibility.
