9 Best Wrestling Lone Wolves Ever

4. Goldberg

Of course, the man who vanquished Lesnar at the recent WWE Survivor Series also came into professional wrestling as something of a lone wolf. WCW was starting death in the face (in kayfabe, years before it actually died), as the marauding New World Order threatened to end the company. It truly seemed as though no one could stop them.

Up stepped Goldberg, but Goldberg wasn't doing it for the good of World Championship Wrestling, Goldberg was doing it for himself. He barely spoke a word, merely informing the unlucky victims of who was next. No friendships, no loyalties, no back to be stabbed.

And boy did it work, as Goldberg experienced a meteoric rise to becoming the biggest organic star in WCW during the Monday Night Wars.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
