9 Best Wrestling Lone Wolves Ever

3. Bad News Brown

For many, Bad News Brown will have been their first exposure to what would be considered a lone wolf in professional wrestling. Bad News was utterly unique in the late-80s World Wrestling Federation, a bad guy lone wolf before being a bad guy lone wolf was cool.

You have to remember that late-80s WWF had two major characters; virtuous, heroic babyfaces and dastardly, cowardly heels. Sure, there was slight edits long the way but that was about it. BNB was nothing like either of those however, a heel who hated the other heels as much as he hated the babyfaces.

For some reason he was still a part of Survivor Series teams in 1988 and 1989, although no one was greatly surprised when he walked out on both occasions. BNB was a true trailblazer in professional wrestling when it came to being a lone wolf.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
