9 Best Wrestling Lone Wolves Ever

2. Stone Cold Steve Austin

Before he became Stone Cold, Steve Austin was just another talented and proficient professional wrestler who has excellent in the ring but lacking somewhat in the charisma department. 'Man Who Is Good At Wrestling' is rarely a winner in the gimmick department after all.

One of the major shifts with Austin when he became Stone Cold was that he adopted a new loner attitude, best embodied by his motto of 'Don't Trust Anyone'. Heck, the man even had 'D.T.A' emblazoned on the side of his leather vest jacket thing.

Austin was the late 90s evolution of Bad News Brown. He would attack heels just as much as faces, and was interested only in achieving his goals. If he made friends along the way was immaterial, as success was all that mattered.

The same can be said about the alliance's Austin made later in his career; they were only ever established in order to further his own ambitions. Still, Austin was at his best when he was angry lone wolf, prowling the land for victims.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
