9. Can WWE Start Off 2016 Right?
A month ago, WWEs ratings were in a tailspin, dipping below 3 million viewers and clearly worrying the higher-ups. The brass was so concerned that they pulled the plug on the Sheamus as world champ experiment and brought back WWEs best villain, Mr. McMahon all on the same night. The result was a surge in viewership, just in time for the holiday episodes of Raw to bring ratings back down a notch (which is normal for the season). Monday will be the first non-holiday episode of Raw since Roman Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship three weeks ago, and the company is going whole hog with this one, with Reigns defending his title against Sheamus with Mr. McMahon as the special guest referee. While that is a tremendous hook for viewers, WWE needs to take advantage of this and start the new year off right with a solid show up and down the card to give fans a reason to tune in and stay tuned in and then come back the following week when Reigns/Sheamus with Vince the evil ref isnt on the card.
