9 Card Predictions For IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary 2021

8. Loser Leaves Town: Brian Myers Vs. Matt Cardona

This rivalry should be over. Although it's not currently playing out on IMPACT television, it's always a possibility that IMPACT reignite this rivalry by the time we get to Slammiversary. Considering the story of their previous rivalry, a loser leaves town stipulation seems apt.

Your writer doesn't want either man to depart IMPACT, but it seems to be the only way to completely end this now-needless rivalry. Sure, they had a decent match at Rebellion back in April, but that should have been it. Their follow-up bout on the next episode of IMPACT's AXS TV show had no place in IMPACT history, and was made even worse by Matt Cardona winning to put the duo at 1-1.

Keep in mind that Cardona's contract status is yet to clarify whether the former Zack Ryder has actually signed an official deal with the company, this would be a great way to end his IMPACT tenure, unless, of course, he has now signed an official contract. His run in All Elite Wrestling ended without any officiality, but rather an eight-man tag win at September's All Out pay-per-view over the Dark Order.

Having an actual end to his second major post-WWE deal is a must right now. We know Brian Myers is signed to a deal, as revealed in January, so sorry, Matt.
