9 Card Predictions For IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary 2021
7. OVe Rules: Sami Callihan & Rich Swann Vs. The Good Brothers
To put it into perspective, this article is being written the morning of IMPACT Wrestling's Under Siege special on IMPACT Plus. Sami Callihan seems destined to win the six-man scramble to earn the right to challenge for Kenny Omega's World Championship, but, of course, he's not going to dethrone 'The Best Bout Machine'.
He could, however, still be embroiled in a rivalry with Omega's associates by 17 July. Thus, an oVe Rules bout vs. the Good Brothers is the way to go for 'The Draw'. His partner? Rich Swann.
Swann hasn't been seen since losing the strap to Omega at Rebellion, with his contract having reportedly expired. Regardless of if he signs a new deal, the former World Champion should at least stay on for Slammiversary. There's still some unfinished business there for Swann; he can't simply move on.
The oVe Rules bout between Swann and Callihan at the inaugural Rebellion in 2019 was superb. It was precisely what you'd expect of an IMPACT-promoted weapons-based brawl; anarchy, chaos, and pandemonium.
Repeating the same sort of contest with the two aligned vs. Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson would not only be a grand way of celebrating one year of the Good Brothers in IMPACT, but it would be a grand addition to the Slammiversary card.
