9 Early Predictions For NJPW G1 Climax 2018

7. The Juice Is Loose

Juice Robinson was one of the star performers of the 2017 G1, ending with an impressive eight points. Those eight points came from wins over big names, including Michael Elgin and eventual runner-up, Kenny Omega. This was a clear coming-out party for the man formerly known as CJ Parker.

Juice is in a great position right now. When he left NXT and turned up in NJPW, many felt he was out of his depth. The truth is he was - his WWE-style mannerisms seemed out of place in the New Japan environment. But Juice took his losses and slowly worked his way into the hearts of the audience, to the point where he may well be the best pure babyface on the entire roster.

2017 has been huge for Juice Robinson, but 2018 will be even bigger. Next year, Juice will go from being an underdog star to a legitimate threat to win. He won't win, but he will be in the conversation throughout the tournament.
