9 Most Disappointing Wrestling Dream Matches

8. Bret Hart Vs. Vince McMahon (WrestleMania XXVI)

Most of the time fans are desperate to keep Vince McMahon out of the ring, but if there was ever an occasion for him to oil up those beefy arms, it was a WrestleMania grudge match with Bret Hart.

Problem was, it came about 10 years too late. Vince was 64, long past the age where he could go bouncing off of announce tables, while the Hitman, although comparatively youthful at just 52, was a decade - and a lot of injury problems - removed from any serious in-ring action.

As a result, it was fought at pedestrian pace from the outset, McMahon as ever in the role of an eminently punchable villain, who fans couldn't wait to see thrown to the outside of the ring where the Hart Family lumberjacks were waiting with closed fists.

It was cathartic for all involved, but you couldn't help imagine what sort of match we would have seen had it taken place fresh off the heels of the Invasion, back when both men were in better shape (and perhaps a little more angry too).
